Head of Food Safety and Quality Assurance About the Company Globally renowned producer of high-quality food products Industry Food & Beverages Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Food Safety and Quality Assurance to provide strategic leadership and program development in the FSQA domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide FSQA strategies, overseeing HACCP and Preventive Controls programs, and leading corporate food safety initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, including the Food Safety Modernization Act, and the ability to position the organization as an industry leader in food safety and quality. The Head of FSQA will also be involved in operational integration, cross-functional alignment, continuous improvement, and culture building, and will be expected to have a strong technical background in food safety and quality assurance. Applicants for the Head of Food Safety and Quality Assurance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 7-10 years of industry experience. The role demands a candidate with a strong working knowledge of agricultural food production and manufacturing best practices, as well as current FSQA trends and programs. A Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing FSQA teams, driving a culture of food safety, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Technical expertise, product knowledge, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels are also key attributes for this leadership role.
