Director of Patient Access

A health system in Queens is seeking a Director of Patient Access to provide leadership and oversight across patient access operations. This is a high visibility role with the opportunity to improve the patient experience, operational efficiency, and revenue cycle performance across the organization. Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership for hospital Patient Access functions, including registration, admissions, scheduling, and related front end operations Lead, develop, and support Patient Access leadership and staff while ensuring consistent service standards and efficient workflows Monitor departmental performance, productivity, quality, patient experience, and key performance indicators Partner with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Clinical Operations, and other hospital departments to improve registration accuracy, authorization processes, collections, and overall patient flow Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve technology utilization, strengthen compliance, and enhance the overall patient experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred 5+ years of progressive Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or related healthcare operations experience Previous leadership experience within an acute care hospital setting required Strong knowledge of hospital registration, admissions, insurance verification, authorization, financial clearance, and related revenue cycle processes Demonstrated experience managing teams, performance metrics, process improvement initiatives, and cross functional relationships Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
