Job Title Full‑Time General Radiology Technologist (Imaging) – Barnes‑Jewish Hospital – Plaza West Tower – Main Floor General Radiology. Overview Barnes‑Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is a leading academic medical center. It offers advanced diagnostic imaging and is recognized among the nation's top hospitals. The radiology department is one of the nation’s top five, performing over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually. Position Details Day Shift: 4 days per week: Tuesday – Friday (9:00am – 7:30pm) No call or weekends. Extra holiday pay for the three required holidays each year (1 major, 2 minor). No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided. Requirements Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher). If currently enrolled, apply within 6 months of completion. Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Radiology Technologist, Radiographer, or image‑tech graduate or student. Less than 2 years of experience preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification preferred. Illinois IEMA license (excluding MRI) desirable. Role Purpose The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures for adult and/or pediatric patients to support diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Responsibilities Prepare patients and equipment for procedures; provide clear, professional instructions. Perform radiographic imaging examinations independently, including portable exams and other departmental tasks.
