A General Warehouse Worker for a candle manufacturer handles the daily flow of raw materials (such as glass jars, wicks, wax, and fragrance oils) and finished candle products. This hands-on role supports production lines, maintains inventory accuracy, and prepares orders for safe shipping.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving & Unloading: Unload incoming shipments of glass vessels, wax blocks, packaging materials, and raw supplies from trucks, checking for damage or discrepancies against packing slips.
• Production Support: Feed raw materials (like empty jars and lids) to the assembly and pouring lines, and help pack finished, cooled candles into corrugated master cartons.
• Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pull candle inventory by scent, size, and SKU for customer or retail orders, ensuring fragile glass items are properly padded and boxed.
• Palletizing & Wrapping: Stack finished cases onto pallets according to specified patterns (Ti-Hi), and stretch-wrap pallets manually or with machine assistance.
• Inventory & Scanning: Use handheld RF scanners or basic computer systems to log stock movements, location transfers, and cycle counts.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Visually inspect products for chips, label misalignments, or aesthetic flaws, and keep work areas clear of wax drips, debris, or fire hazards in compliance with OSHA and company safety rules.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift frequently (regularly lifting up to 10–35 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance).
• Environment Sensitivity: Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to strong fragrance aromas and variable room temperatures.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy to prevent mix-ups between similar candle scents, jar sizes, or seasonal labels.
• Equipment & Tech Skills: Familiarity with basic warehouse tools (manual pallet jacks, box cutters, tape machines, RF scanners); forklift certification is a plus.
