Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.What You'll DoEpic Games is looking for a full-time Tester to join our Release QA team. The person in this role will be responsible for running tests and supporting release and live operations for Epic Products. You will work closely with the Release Management and Product teams and will actively contribute to the smooth execution of tasks, assisting with technical challenges and supporting on-going live service operations. The Senior Tester will play a supporting role in overseeing test teams helping ensure that testing is aligned to goals and schedules. If you are interested in a fast-paced environment, capable of navigating a constantly changing product space, and desire to work on a world-class QA team, then we would love to talk to you.In this role, you willExecute and develop detailed test cases to ensure the quality of multiple products while balancing speed and coverageCreate/Maintain/Own comprehensive test cases based on predefined test scenariosInvestigate and analyze issues to identify root causes, and communicate or escalate issues when necessary, keeping the broader context in mindProvide the development team with reports on blocking issues, test results, and overall quality status while facilitating discussions around potential risk areasWrite clear and concise bug reports with detailed reproduction stepsLeverage knowledge of product features to identify issues and inefficienciesIndependently set your daily priorities while also assisting with the team's prioritiesSupport ongoing operations in the live environment through rotating on-call shifts in addition to normal working hoursWhat we're looking forA minimum of 3 years of experience in QA/Testing at games or softwareTechnical software or troubleshooting skills (degree in Computer Science or equivalent, self-taught, or relevant experience)Experience with gaming consoles and/or mobile devicesExperience with software development and building games or softwareFamiliarity with the software development life cycle and the role of testing within itProficient in logging defects in bug-tracking systems like JiraExperience testing software within a structured QA teamAbility to analyze defect trends, identify coverage gaps, and provide feedback to prevent future issuesExperience with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, etcExperience in creating and executing creative test scenarios independently, utilizing product knowledge and available feature documentationEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
