Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Description Full‑time Medical‑Surgical RN position with opportunity to cross‑train in critical care. Night shift (12‑hour). Located at Loyola University Medical Center, 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. Magnet‑designated and recognized for nursing excellence. Unit The 4NW ICU Medicine Unit includes 16 beds: 8 MICU and 8 Med‑Surg. Patients include sepsis, sepsis shock, acute respiratory failure, post‑cardiac arrest, liver failure, and GI bleeds. The unit is supported by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and an assistant manager. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional, patient‑centered care for a diverse patient population. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in a supportive environment. Manage ICU and Med‑Surg beds, including nursing assessment, care planning, and documentation. Expand critical care and medical‑surgical nursing skills through cross‑training. Qualifications Degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN). BLS certification from the American Heart Association required prior to hire. Illinois Board of Nursing license required prior to hire. Hospital experience preferred. Compensation BSN Pay Range: $36.05 – $59.92 per hour. ADN Pay Range: $32.97 – $57.06 per hour.
