Medical City Fort Worth RN ONMS (Ortho Neuro Med Surg) Seasonal PRN Nursing Position Seasonal PRN days: 7pm-7am. Pay: $55 per hour plus applicable differentials. Program runs from September 20, 2026 through April 3, 2027. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with departmental requirements and state/specialty standards. You’ll collaborate with providers and the care team, applying nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, Manage," and advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. Responsibilities Assess patients at admission and throughout the shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered, and document care administration thoroughly and timely. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and respond appropriately to unintended reactions. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring full understanding. Program Requirements Minimum 72 hours per pay period during the 32‑week seasonal period. May be asked to float within a close geographic region to meet emergent staffing needs. Complete four mandatory weekend shifts per 4‑week cycle. Complete two holiday shifts per 32‑week period (as defined by the Department Manager). PRN status; no guaranteed hours and subject to first call‑off. Not eligible for shift‑bonus (D1/CND or D2/ECD). Only one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. Eligibility: Not current full‑time, part‑time, or PRN employees of HWS, except RNs who participated in the Seasonal program in the previous year. Eligible only for the 2026–27 program. Qualifications RN license. Associate Degree in Nursing. Minimum +1 year experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of start.
