Inventory Auditor Contract-to-Hire Location: Regional Field Role (Within a Defined Regional Territory Based in East Pittsburgh, PA) Pay: $20.00/hour (Overtime Eligible After 40 Hours) Travel: Daily regional travel; occasional overnight travel depending on division needs A national inventory services company with more than 50 years of industry experience is expanding its field leadership team and is seeking an Inventory Auditor to support and lead inventory audits at gas stations and convenience stores. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role that combines accuracy‑driven work, team leadership, and direct client interaction. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in early‑morning schedules, enjoys structured field work, and takes pride in executing repeatable, high‑accuracy processes. Inventory Auditors play a critical role in delivering reliable results to clients while supporting audit teams in the field. What You’ll Do Lead and participate in physical inventory audits at gas stations and convenience stores Work alongside and support small audit teams (typically 28 auditors) Accurately count inventory using a 10‑key machine Review audit results and provide end‑of‑audit reports to store managers Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies on‑site Assist in training and coaching auditors to improve accuracy and efficiency Coordinate daily travel logistics, including carpooling when applicable Communicate audit outcomes and client‑specific concerns to division leadership Complete administrative tasks such as payroll submission and invoicing support Work in varied environments including sales floors, stockrooms, coolers, and freezers What You Bring Experience in inventory, auditing, retail operations, or field‑based roles Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a field‑based team Comfort interacting directly with store managers and clients Willingness to travel daily within a defined regional territory Ability to work early morning schedules (on‑site start time of 6:00 AM) Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and ability to pass a motor vehicle check Ability to pass a background check Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods Schedule & Travel Expectations Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday Occasional Saturdays may be required based on audit volume and scheduling demand Average ~30.83 hours per week in stores, plus travel time Average ~8.97 hours per week traveling Average ~389.41 miles per week driven Approximately 10% of time working independently You must arrive on‑site by 6:00 AM Regional territory generally covers areas Johnstown, PA, Cumberland, MD Ideal home base: Greensburg, PA (within ~30 miles of ZIP 15601) Compensation & Benefits $20.00/hour with overtime paid after 40 hours per week Paid commute time when applicable per division policy Mileage reimbursement when acting as the driver (per division guidelines, more to be shared in interview) Contract‑to‑hire opportunity with long‑term stability Upon conversion to a direct employee, benefits typically include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Why This Role Stands Out Stable, long‑term opportunity with a well‑established national organization Consistent early‑morning schedule with predictable workflows Field‑based role with autonomy and accountability Clear expectations and structured audit processes Opportunity to gain experience supporting multiple major retail fuel clients Equal Opportunity Employer ParkerBeth and its clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
