PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Rose Garden Preparatory Day School is looking for an exceptional Preschool Teacher to join our growing team.

We are not simply looking for someone to supervise a classroom. We are looking for an energetic, nurturing, creative, and growth-minded early childhood educator who loves working with young children and wants to become part of an organization where there is room to learn, lead, and advance. Rose Garden Preparatory Day School is a Keystone STAR 4 Early Learning Center serving children from infancy through Pre-K in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. • Understands that classroom appearance, organization, cleanliness, and preparation matter
• Can maintain appropriate boundaries while building loving relationships with children
• Wants to become an important part of the RGPD community—not simply clock in and clock out

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a warm, organized, stimulating classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Teaching & Curriculum

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Support early literacy, language, mathematics, science, art, sensory exploration, and practical-life skills
• Prepare children for a successful transition into kindergarten
• Encourage independence, confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving
• Observe children's development and use those observations to guide instruction
• Maintain an inviting, intentional, well-organized learning environment

Classroom Leadership

• Establish predictable routines and positive classroom expectations
• Use developmentally appropriate guidance and redirection
• Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety at all times
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, attractive, and ready for learning
• Work collaboratively with classroom teammates and school leadership
• Follow all RGPD policies and Pennsylvania childcare regulations

Family Partnerships

• Build warm, professional relationships with families
• Communicate children's accomplishments, developmental progress, and classroom experiences
• Provide thoughtful updates through the school's communication systems
• Partner with parents while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
• Help families feel welcomed and confident about their child's experience at Rose Garden Prep

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should meet applicable Pennsylvania childcare requirements for the position.

Preferred candidates will have:

• Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related coursework/degree
• Previous experience working with preschool-age children
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
• Current or obtainable required clearances and certifications
• A commitment to continued professional development
