Bus Driver (Part Time)

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Bus Driver Part-Time to support a government contract based in Kings Bay Naval Base, St. Mary's, Georgia.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, drives buses up to 44-passenger capacity with air brakes as required to transport personnel throughout the base and on public roads and highways. Ensures that passengers are seated and that the vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity. Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Performs drivers' maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations to include vehicle cleanliness. May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years driving experience in a professional capacity with a safe driving record.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) with passenger endorsement for size and type vehicle required.
• No restriction for air brakes on CDL.
• Must have and wear at all times, substantial leather shoes.
• Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet eligibility requirements for access to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• Ability to Travel to Kings Bay Naval Base, St. Mary's, Georgia.

Pay Premiums & Compensation Add-Ons

• Shift Differential: Extra $1.75$2.00/hour depending on shift start time.
• Hazard Pay: $3.00/hour for designated high-risk work areas.
• Lead Pay: Additional $2.25/hour for lead roles (temporary or permanent).
• On-Call Pay: Two hours of overtime pay per day when on call during off-days/holidays.

Safety & Equipment Benefits

• Safety Shoes: $175 annual allowance.
• Prescription Safety Glasses: Up to $250 annually (per policy).

Other Coverage

• Includes provisions for overtime, safety requirements, and additional contract-based benefits.

Compensation Details: $23.97
