Job Summary Raytheon seeks a Senior Manager of Operations Quality to lead the Operations Quality team for the Radio Frequency Components semiconductor manufacturing site in Andover, MA. The role focuses on product and process quality, product compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. What you will do Lead a team of operations quality engineers and hardware specialists, including staffing, coaching/mentoring, performance reviews, and presentations to senior leadership. Maintain on-site presence to interact closely with leaders in Operations, Engineering, Quality, and program representatives. Engage with factory leadership to align priorities and drive alignment of top priorities for your team. Ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Perform verification and validation of improvements to measure effectiveness. Baseline factory metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand, and identify opportunities for improvement. Assess production trends using data analysis and statistical process control methods. Lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation. Lead/drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand with verification/validation of improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field and a minimum of ten (10) years of quality engineering, continuous improvement, or related experience. Project‑management experience, including managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in first-article inspection reports (FAIRs), quality monitoring, and leading root-cause corrective actions in a cross-functional matrixed environment. Experience in developing/using quality metrics that drive root-cause and long-term corrective action, including verification of improvements. Manufacturing process knowledge with quality systems and industry technical standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, BOMs, consumable material control, process disciplines, and tool control. Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or quality/process engineering in a manufacturing environment. Strong familiarity with J‑STD‑001, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, CORE or Lean tools and ASQ certifications. Experience working in a cleanroom environment and with III‑V compound semiconductor devices (Gallium Nitride, Gallium Arsenide HEMTs, SLS IR detectors). Experience with MIL‑STD‑883 die visual criteria, microelectronics defect classification, and high‑power microscope inspection. Ability to facilitate cross‑functional teams in systematic improvement activities (6‑sigma, lean manufacturing, etc.). Experience with APQP/AS9145, PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Control Plans. Experience with ERP tools such as SAP/PRISM. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Existing U.S. DoD Secret (or higher) clearance. U.S. citizenship required due to eligibility for security clearance. What We Offer Competitive salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 annually.
