Qualifications For MT: Baccalaureate Degree in one of the following: Medical Technology (MT) Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) Or Bachelor’s degree plus Certificate in Medical laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), Medical Technology (MT), as recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is required. An HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. For MLT: Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program. A two-year commitment to this position is required. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. We do not sponsor visas or transfer a visa for this position. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F1-STEM OPT extension program. Responsibilities Preforms analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Skills Experience working in a medical field (Required). Moderate to advanced computer skills. Good written and oral communications skills, ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.
