Staff Pharmacist

Company: Fenix Staffing
Location: Ocala, Florida
Job Type: Full-Time

Salary

• $105,000 annually – Candidates with limited professional experience.
• $110,000 annually – Candidates with 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience.

Schedule

• Second Shift: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• No weekends (unless otherwise required by business needs).

Job Summary

Fenix Staffing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while maintaining compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) to ensure patient safety.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Communicate with prescribers to clarify or resolve prescription issues.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of prescription orders before dispensing.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.
• Maintain compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Verify and manage controlled substances, including inventory and documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Support compounding operations, including pharmaceutical calculations and quality assurance, when applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
• Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist License.
• New graduates and pharmacists with limited experience are encouraged to apply.
• Previous retail or community pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure in additional jurisdictions, if required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
