Position Summary The Production Lead is responsible for directing, leading, and managing a team of Dryers, Washroom Attendants and Load Builders in Company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Lead, direct and train assigned production team members in the performance of their duties. Motivate and ensure the team meets departmental goals and objectives, maintaining high quality, safety, and productivity standards. Participate in the interview process and make hiring recommendations. Maintain personnel records for reports, time sheets, and attendance. Build strong relationships with other department leaders and associates. Interact with other supervisors to establish maximum utilization of resources and improve efficiency. Implement processes that improve key performance indicators (quality, safety, cycle time). Provide feedback to Plant Supervisor and Business Manager on ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the production process. Develop, maintain, and enforce written procedures that support department functions and conduct corresponding training. Proactively monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed. Carry out special assignments as requested or assigned. Continuously follow all safety policies and procedures on the job. Assist and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma required. 3 to 5 years supervisory experience. Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Demonstrated customer service, people, leadership, and organization skills with a track record of achieving positive business results. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Skills & Competencies Research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions. Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
