Details 16-bed adult ICU managing critical illness, ventilated patients, and post-op care Patient ratio of 1:2 with average length of stay of 3-7 days Rotating day and night shift schedule on a 6-week cycle, typically 3 weeks days and 3 weeks nights 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule May be scheduled on holidays based on unit need May be placed on standby call once per pay period Requirements Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license Minimum one year of nursing experience required Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred BLS certification required (AHA or ARC) ACLS and NIHSS certifications required CPI-B certification required Experience with point of care testing Strong skills in care of patients with complex medical problems Additional Information Provide direct clinical nursing care using the nursing process in a collaborative ICU setting Participate in discharge planning and multidisciplinary care coordination Engage in performance improvement activities and unit goal achievement Opportunities for professional growth through clinical ladder and development programs Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director Local candidates accepted at a local rate American Traveler Job ID P-762517.
