Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations. Serve as a key clinician in Level IV NICU, PICU/PCVICU, and Adult ICU. Support post‑operative cardiac patients with advanced cardiopulmonary management. Perform and manage advanced respiratory therapies, including: Invasive and noninvasive ventilation High‑frequency ventilation and jet ventilator protocols Airway management and intubation support Nitric oxide and specialty gas therapies Utilize therapist‑driven protocols for assessment, initiation, adjustment, and weaning. Conduct routine and advanced respiratory procedures (ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapies, pulmonary diagnostics). Respond to rapid response and code events as part of the resuscitation team. Maintain and operate respiratory equipment. Provide education and consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and families. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Support a culture of patient‑centered care, safety, and employee engagement. Qualifications Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Colorado Respiratory Therapy license (obtained prior to start date). Validity of BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications or intent to obtain within the specified timeframe. Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Experience in ICU, NICU, and/or pediatric settings preferred. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Schedule & Work Environment 8‑week self‑scheduling model balanced by leadership for fairness and consistency.
