Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
• Document hours worked accurately through the designated time-tracking platform
• Complete all required pre-start and annual facility modules within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification in hand at time of submission
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (Charge RN references accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience within a single facility location
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication administration competency assessments
• Prior travel nursing experience with knowledge of compliance and credentialing processes
