Overview
Registered Nurse - Psychiatric, supporting a short-term inpatient psychiatric unit in Woodsville, New Hampshire, United States. Start date: September 14, 2026. Assignment duration: 8 weeks. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to psychiatric inpatients, including monitoring mental status, assessing risk, and implementing treatment plans under physician direction.
- Administer prescribed psychotropic medications and monitor for efficacy, adverse effects, and potential interactions; adjust plans as directed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatrists, social workers, case managers) to develop, update, and execute individualized care plans.
- Maintain patient safety through comprehensive suicide risk assessments, de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and incident documentation.
- Document accurately in the EMR system (Oracle) and participate in rounds, charts, and discharge planning; provide patient and family education as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in good standing (New Hampshire licensure preferred)
- Experience in psychiatric inpatient or acute behavioral health settings preferred
- Ability to work 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. night shifts; willing to work a 3-night-per-week schedule
- Proficiency with electronic medical records; Oracle EMR experience preferred
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment; ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced, inpatient environment
