Experienced Server / Future Captain Opportunity – Japanese Omakase & Cocktail Bar (East Village)

We're looking for a strong, experienced server to join our team at an intimate Japanese omakase and cocktail bar in the East Village.

This is not an average serving position. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences. The right person has the potential to grow into a Captain/Lead Server role as we continue to grow.

• 2+ years of serving experience (omakase experience preferred but not necessary)

• Excellent people skills and genuine hospitality

• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure

• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and helping wherever needed

• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude

• Able to work long shifts and remain energetic throughout service

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

• Interest in Japanese cuisine, sake, wine, or craft cocktails is a major plus

• Deliver exceptional service from start to finish

• Guide guests through our food, sake, wine, and cocktail offerings

• Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service

• Assist with hosting, running food, resetting tables, side work, and other operational tasks as needed

• Help maintain a clean, organized dining room

• Support teammates and contribute to a strong team culture

We're looking for someone who wants more than just serving tables. If you're a natural leader who takes initiative, there is a clear path into a Captain/Lead Server position with additional responsibilities and compensation.

We provide training in Japanese cuisine, sake, wine, and our cocktail program , so a willingness to learn is just as important as previous experience.

We value attitude, professionalism, and hustle over ego—everyone on our team is willing to jump in wherever they're needed.

• Must be available weekends

• Full-time preferred, but strong part-time candidates will be considered
