The Job: 

We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join a growing organization in the logistics and transportation industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and getting out from behind a desk to meet directly with customers.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing new customer relationships while growing and supporting existing accounts. You'll prospect for new business, meet with customers to understand their shipping and transportation needs, recommend solutions, and build long-term partnerships. Previous sales or customer-facing experience is welcomed, but direct logistics experience is not required.

What You Will Be Doing as an Outside Sales Representative: 

• Develop new business through prospecting, outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and relationship building
• Identify prospective customers and create opportunities within an assigned market or territory
• Meet with prospective and existing customers to learn about their business and transportation needs
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
• Manage the sales process from initial outreach through proposals, follow-up, and closing
• Prepare quotes and present logistics solutions based on customer needs
• Grow existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities and services
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and customers throughout the sales process
• Partner with internal logistics and operations teams to ensure customer needs are communicated and supported
• Help resolve customer questions or service concerns while maintaining strong relationships
• Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and opportunities within company systems
• Stay informed about transportation services, industry trends, and customer needs
• Work toward individual sales, revenue, and account growth goals

What We’re Looking For in an Outside Sales Rep: 

• Relationship Building: Naturally enjoys meeting new people, developing trust, and maintaining long-term professional relationships
• Sales Drive: Motivated by developing new business, winning customers, and seeing measurable results from your efforts
• Initiative: Comfortable creating opportunities through prospecting, outreach, networking, and consistent follow-up
• Communication: Confident communicating with customers in person, over the phone, and through email
• Business Mindset: Interested in understanding how customers operate and finding solutions that support their business
• Resilience: Able to stay persistent and positive throughout a sales process that may require multiple conversations and follow-ups
• Organization: Capable of managing multiple prospects, customer accounts, meetings, and opportunities at the same time
• Problem Solving: Comfortable working with customers and internal teams to navigate challenges and find practical solutions

Requirements: 

• Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• 1-3 years of sales experience (Preferred)

Pay:

• $55,000-65,000 base + uncapped commission and bonuses
