Broken Tart is a sister-owned bakery and cafe specializing in cakes, bakes, and coffee. We are focused on creating an experience at Broken Tart that surprises and delights our customers - both on the everydays AND the milestone days. While that journey begins with our thoughtful (and super delicious!) menu, it comes to life with our commitment to outside-the-box hospitality.

ABOUT THE BARISTA POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Barista with a passion for world-class coffee and divine hospitality experiences to join our team. (Bonus points if you are a master of latte art!)

As Barista, we’ll look to you to serve up exceptional coffee and tea, build rapport with guests throughout the ordering and in-house experience, become an expert in our amazing baked goods and cakes, and maintain the Front of House space. As we are a new-ish operation, this is your opportunity to help us fine-tune our coffee program and create signature drink offerings for our menu.

Skills and qualities we expect you’ll bring to the table:

• Morning and Weekend availability
• Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and espresso beverages
• 2+ years of experience in a barista position
• A passion for exceptional customer service - we love to go above and beyond
• An interest in and excitement about great food
• Basic floor service experience
• Ability to multitask and think on your feet
• Great communication skills
• Creativity (lots of it)
• Flexibility (lots of this, too!)
• Desire to learn and grow both professionally and personally
• A commitment to kindness, curiosity, and leaving things a little bit better than you found it
