Pay Rate: $25–$40/hour
Pay Type: Salary structure expressed as an hourly range
Earning Potential: Additional production bonus based on billed hours

About Impact Diesel

Impact Diesel is seeking an experienced Light-Duty Diesel Technician in Tooele, UT, offering a salary structure expressed as $25–$40/hour plus a production bonus based on billed hours. This Monday–Friday role focuses primarily on Domestic diesel pickups, with approximately 25% diagnostic work and 75% maintenance and repair. A Service Writer and General Manager support estimates, parts ordering, and workflow so technicians can stay focused on diesel diagnostics and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel pickup trucks
• Perform drivability, electrical, and diesel diagnostic work
• Diagnose and repair SCR system concerns
• Diagnose fuel injector concerns and replace injectors
• Perform turbocharger repairs
• Complete engine and transmission replacements
• Handle a workload of approximately 25% diagnostics and 75% maintenance and repair
• Maintain a minimum expectation of 25 billed hours per week while delivering quality work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technician experience
• A-Level capability or strong B-Level experience appropriate for the work
• Intermediate-to-advanced diesel diagnostic skills
• Strong experience with Domestic diesel vehicles
• Experience with general diesel repair, drivability, electrical, SCR, turbocharger, fuel injector, engine, and transmission work
• Own personal tools
• Dealership light-duty diesel experience preferred
