Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Call and weekends required with a response time of 30 minutes.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist will provide surgical support in a variety of cases including cardiac robotics, LVAD, and heart transplant procedures. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field.
• Work with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Manage surgical instruments and technology effectively.
• Support a variety of surgical cases including General, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, and Robotics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR, with a preference for 3 years.
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience in the last 3 years.
• Recent travel experience (minimum 1 year).
• Certification with NCCT or NBSTSA is required; other certifications or uncertified candidates will not be accepted.
