In this role, you will support a broad pipeline in allergic and inflammatory diseases by validating targets, assessing therapeutic candidate efficacy in disease models, and interrogating mechanisms of pathology, while communicating openly and frequently with your manager and team members.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Tarrytown, NY Work model/flexibility: OnsiteDiscover your role:Execute experiments based on provided projects/protocols and develop new methods or technologies to advance project goalsTroubleshoot methodological and technical issues, interpreting data and literature and communicating results to your supervisor, department, or project teamWork with mice, demonstrating proper handling and care, general surgical techniques, and collection of blood and tissue samplesConduct cell culture and various in vitro experiments, including cell-based assays and ELISADesign complex studies to interrogate novel therapeutic efficacy using in vitro and in vivo model systemsConduct studies using flow cytometry, including panel design, data analysis, and interpretation of findingsDevelop and optimize mouse models of disease, analyzing associated pathologies by flow cytometry, cell-based assays, histology, and ELISAMaintain lab and equipment, order supplies/reagents, and keep accurate, complete records in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentThis role requires:BS/MS with 5-8 years of relevant research experience in immunologyProven experience in tissue culture (maintenance of transformed and primary cells), cell-based assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, and MSDBasic computer skills and experience collecting and analyzing biological dataStrong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred: Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, or Cellular and Molecular Biology, with knowledge of allergic diseases and B-cell/plasma cell biologyPreferred: training in proper handling and care of mice, general surgical techniques, and collection of blood and tissue samplesPreferred: experience with GraphPad Prism, FlowJo and/or OMIQ, SoftMax Pro, and Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) Workbench softwareDoes this sound like you?
