Director of Operations (Commercial Flooring)

We are seeking a Director of Operations to join the team in the DFW area. This high-impact leadership role will oversee operational execution across a large portfolio of active commercial projects while helping scale the business for continued growth. The position offers strong executive visibility, strategic influence, and the opportunity to lead a high-performing operations team in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do as the Director of Operations: Lead day-to-day operations across a high-volume commercial flooring division Oversee project execution from pre-construction through final closeout Drive consistency across scheduling, installation coordination, labor planning, and field operations Partner with executive leadership on operational strategy, forecasting, and scalability initiatives Monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, and operational performance metrics Resolve escalated project issues and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget Lead and develop project managers, field leadership, and operational support staff Improve operational processes, accountability, communication, and team performance Support workforce planning and operational infrastructure to accommodate continued growth Track project profitability, labor productivity, and key operational KPIs Must-Haves as the Director of Operations: 8+ years of leadership experience within commercial flooring or commercial construction operations Strong operational leadership experience overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects Deep understanding of scheduling, labor planning, field operations, and project execution Experience leading operational teams in fast-paced construction environments Strong financial and business acumen related to project profitability and budgeting Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to drive accountability and operational efficiency across teams Experience collaborating with executive leadership on strategic initiatives Nice-to-Haves as the Director of Operations: Direct experience within commercial flooring operations Experience overseeing large project portfolios with high active project volume Background in scaling operational processes during periods of company growth Experience mentoring and developing operational leadership teams Familiarity with commercial flooring installation workflows and subcontractor coordination Benefits Offered: Base salary targeting $150K-$200K plus bonus potential Executive-level visibility and direct partnership with company leadership Opportunity to lead operations during a major growth phase Collaborative and fast-moving leadership environment Long-term advancement potential within a growing organization Stable pipeline of commercial projects across the DFW market Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
