Physical Therapist Assistant

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric Salary Range: $28-$40 per hour Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Doctors Community Rehab, a 130-bed skilled nursing facility. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work with our geriatric patients to help them regain mobility, improve strength and balance, and increase their overall quality of life. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule and weekend rotation. Key Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients according to their individualized care plans. Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to help patients improve their physical function and reduce pain. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members. Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue their progress at home. Collaborate with other therapy team members to provide comprehensive care for patients. Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program. Valid state PTA license. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients, preferably in a skilled nursing facility. Strong knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and common conditions in this population. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy and compassion for patients and their families. Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
