IT Senior Auditor II

Position Summary The IT Senior Auditor II is responsible for planning, developing, performing, and leading moderate to high risk rated IT and integrated audits. The focus is on individual audit work, but the role may also lead Staff Auditors on assignments. Core Responsibilities Perform process narratives and transactional walkthroughs. Identify and perform risk and control mapping through discussions with business line and management. Plan audits for all areas subject to audit, estimating hours and scope. Prepare audit planning documents and present them to Internal Audit Management. Develop and prepare the audit program, objectives, scope, and tests of controls. Compile audit client information request lists and discuss them with the auditee. Complete assigned audit program procedures and steps. Develop and implement effective audit techniques and procedures, documenting findings in a timely manner. Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of procedures, internal controls, and segregation of duties. Prepare summary of findings and conduct pre‑exit meeting with Internal Audit Management. Conduct exit meetings with auditees to communicate findings and recommendations. Generate and prepare the final audit report. Conduct follow‑up activities with auditees to track resolution of reported issues. Update and document progress in audit software. Perform annual risk assessments for designated areas. Perform special projects as assigned. Collaborate with all members of the Internal Audit Department and with external auditors and co‑source providers. Complete all work papers and perform all audits in compliance with the Standards and the Internal Audit Manual. Develop and maintain productive relationships with auditees and identify opportunities for additional audits. Assist in the mentorship and audit methodology development for less experienced staff, interns, and co‑ops. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree required in cybersecurity, information systems, accounting, or finance; other applicable business areas considered. Three or more years of audit experience, including public accounting and/or banking experience. Strong independent working ability and time‑management skills. Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems using logic and reasoning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and practices in the assigned areas. Well‑rounded knowledge of information technology, cybersecurity, digital capabilities, and applicable auditing standards. Knowledge of TeamMate audit software. Knowledge of Visio and ability to create flowcharts. Information systems or cybersecurity certificate is preferred if degree is not in those areas. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $74,000 – $100,000 per year. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and other standard programs.
