Jira Align Senior Business Analyst

This role involves partnering closely with leaders, product managers, and program managers to determine key needs for implementation and optimization of enterprise software that enables business critical development efforts impacting Workday's customers. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented thoughtful professional with both a business and technical background implementing and running technical portfolio management solutions at scale. Someone who has a passion for understanding what the business needs and can translate into technical requirements and partner with the supplier to deliver the right solution, all while staying highly connected to the wider team.

This person will help drive the direction of the enterprise planning and execution technical service (Jira Align), its expanded rollout, optimization, and improvements. The candidate will collaborate with key decision makers in engineering, architecture, product management, and program management to ensure continued service delivery and improvements across the technical ecosystem. Additionally, this candidate will ensure development of joint roadmaps with the vendor and internal support and integration teams, contribute to the propagation standards, as well as be accountable for service health metrics.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years in Jira and Jira Align or similar enterprise-level planning product experience
• 6+ years of enterprise level business requirement analysis for enterprise software implementation and operation
• 4+ years providing complex analysis across multiple functions involving requirements gathering, process improvement, and/or data analysis for large scale enterprises
• 5+ years of working with enterprise agility
• 3+ years Technical proficiency in scripting, troubleshooting

Other Qualifications/Attributes

• Jira Administration experience highly desirable
• Experience using Atlassian REST APIs to develop custom solutions for integrations with other tools and automation of manual processes
• Highly team-oriented and collaborative - transparent in communication and willing to flex to support other team members without hesitation
• Able to translate sophisticated requirements into everyday language in order to drive discussions and decision making
• Able to identify relationships between analyses and identify impact to other programs
• Drive cross-functional responsibilities and data needs to completion
• Drive key team members to decisions (those involved in the analyses/program)
• Ability to independently resolve cross-functional issues/challenges while staying connected to the bigger picture and overall team
• Problem-solver capable of translating issues into simple terms to facilitate discussions and decisions
• Strong organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Drives analysis efforts that impact the enterprise and requires deep domain Subject Matter Expertise
• Identify, lead, and de-escalate friction points and risks in data, process, and cross-functional collaboration
• Optimally interact with and influence senior management on decisions that impact multiple organizations
• Take a pragmatic and framework-agnostic approach to agility - can think outside the box and apply solutions thoughtfully to solve real business problems
