Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:
Provides specialized assistance to cardiologists during invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. The role involves operation of medical equipment, patient monitoring, and collaboration with healthcare teams to achieve successful procedural outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists with invasive coronary, vascular, electrophysiologic, and therapeutic procedures using appropriate techniques.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot electrical, imaging, and physiologic monitoring equipment.
• Interpret hemodynamic data and procedural results; communicate findings effectively to the medical team.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique is consistently followed.
• Educate and support patients during procedures to alleviate anxiety and address anesthesia needs.
• Collaborate with team members and research staff to ensure high standards of patient care and procedural accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant cardiovascular procedural experience.
• In-depth knowledge of hemodynamic principles, cardiac anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in moderate sedation, radiation safety, and advanced EKG interpretation.
• Certification in Radiologic Technology (IEMA license), BLS, ACLS, and ARRT registration.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot complex imaging and physiologic monitoring equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
