Overview
Registered Nurse – OR (Surgery) in Fortuna, CA. Travel assignment begins 10/05/2026 for Weeks. 5x8 Days shift. Weekly pay $3,052-$3,184 per week with no guaranteed hours. Work setting: rural hospital operating room with perioperative responsibilities. Orientation is 40 hours. The role includes circulating and PACU/recovery duties across pediatrics to geriatrics, with endoscopy experience required.

Responsibilities
- Serve as circulating nurse in the OR and provide PACU/recovery care for postoperative patients; support perioperative flow.
- Manage perioperative procedures for a rural hospital caseload, including endoscopy cases; assist with a variety of common surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient status, perform cardiac monitoring, respond to codes, operate electrosurgical units, and uphold fire safety and sterile technique.
- Collaborate with respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary; ensure accurate documentation and handoffs.
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio where applicable; participate in call coverage and weekend on-call as required.
- Potentially float to sister facilities as needed; failure to float may impact scheduled hours.

Requirements
- Active RN license with a compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in perioperative/OR settings; endoscopy experience required.
- Charting: Epic experience preferred.
- Ability to care for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics in a perioperative setting.
- References: 2 required covering 1 year within last 3 years.
- Compliance notes: Background checks or placement restrictions per facility policy; submission limited to 1 Providence facility at a time; pre-start and annual modules required (average ~16 hours non-billable; >20 hours requires PM approval).
