Job Description
- Interpret blueprints and collaborate with the Lead person to confirm job requirements
- Gather necessary materials and perform layout work according to specifications
- Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications
- Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations
- Inspect welds for quality, repairing defective joints as needed
- Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping duties
Skills Required
- At least 2 years of welding experience
- Able to read tape measures and blueprints
- Ability to properly operate welding equipment
- Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions
- Skilled in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers
- Ability to meet the physical and environmental demands
- Standing /Walking for extended periods of time,
- Lift to 50lbs.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Work in a non-temperature controlled environment
- Wear the required PPE for the given position
- Shift Hours: Day Shift, Mon to Thur, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate/Salary
- $23.00-$25.00/ hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factor
