Maintenance Assistant

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, supplies, and facilities. Your tasks will include:

• Performing repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies

• Testing emergency generators weekly and monthly

• Inspecting and maintaining the building to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and laws

• Coordinating maintenance work with other departments

• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, minor carpentry, and repair work

• Maintaining the grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience

• Ability to operate various pieces of equipment, including lawn mowers, weed eaters, and pressure washers

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills

• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to work well within a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of staff

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
