Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients including high-risk OB, antepartum, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
• Manage and monitor patients on drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 within a 45-bed unit with 2 operating rooms
• Float across multiple campuses as required to meet unit staffing needs
• Participate in on-call, charge, and preceptor responsibilities as assigned
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, including working 1–2 designated summer holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of one completed travel nursing assignment within the past 12 months
• Demonstrated experience in Labor & Delivery, including high-risk OB, antepartum, and C-section/vaginal delivery care
• Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) and NRP certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in postpartum / mother-baby care
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
