Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of recent Special Education teaching experience (schools setting)
• Current WA Special Education Teacher license & ESA certificate (must provide verification)
• Prior experience in transition or secondary classrooms strongly preferred
• Effective communicator and adaptable to diverse cultural and educational practices
• Ready and able to pass BIE adjudication process (may delay start by one week)
• Committed to working onsite full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Responsibilities / Duties

• Design and implement individualized transition plans for students aged 18-22
• Foster independence and life skills in a supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure student progress
• Develop and modify curriculum based on each student’s needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
