Are you an experienced caregiver who takes pride in being reliable, communicative, attentive, and compassionate ?

Griswold Home Care for Blair County is looking for experienced Live-In Caregivers to provide dependable, non-medical support to older adults who want to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Live-in care is about more than being present in a client's home. It's about creating a sense of safety, consistency, companionship, and trust for someone who may need support throughout the day and overnight.

We're looking for caregivers who understand the responsibility that comes with this type of care and who are committed to providing professional, respectful service.

As a live-in caregiver, you'll provide hands-on assistance and companionship while helping your client maintain as much independence as possible.

Depending on the client's individual needs, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
• Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
• Meal preparation and assistance with meals
• Light housekeeping and maintaining a comfortable living environment
• Medication reminders
• Mobility and transfer assistance, as appropriate
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence care, when needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands, or activities when applicable
• Supporting routines and daily activities
• Encouraging independence and participation in activities
• Monitoring for changes in the client's condition, mood, behavior, or needs
• Communicating important observations and concerns to the office and/or family
• Following the client's individualized care plan
• Providing overnight presence and assistance when required
• Maintaining client dignity, privacy, and safety at all times

This is a live-in position , meaning the caregiver stays in the client's home during the assignment.

The exact responsibilities, schedule, sleeping arrangements, time away from the home, and overnight expectations vary by client and care plan and will be discussed before accepting an assignment.

Live-in caregivers must be comfortable with:

• Staying overnight in a client's home
• Maintaining a professional caregiver/client relationship
• Following the client's care plan and household expectations
• Communicating with the office regarding changes or concerns
• Maintaining appropriate boundaries while living in the client's home
• Being away from home for extended periods when accepting a live-in assignment

Important: Live-in care is not the same as being continuously awake and actively working 24 hours a day. Specific schedules, rest periods, sleeping arrangements, and compensation will be explained based on the assignment and applicable requirements.

Live-in care requires a high level of trust and responsibility .

You take your commitments seriously and complete the responsibilities you've agreed to take on.

You notice changes in your client's needs rather than waiting for someone else to identify them.

You look for appropriate ways to make your client's day safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.

You understand that you are working in someone's personal living space and conduct yourself professionally.

Although you may be living in the client's home, you are never expected to operate without support. Communication with the Griswold office team is essential.

• At least 2 years of professional caregiving experience with older adults
• Previous in-home or live-in caregiving experience strongly preferred
• Experience with personal care and activities of daily living preferred

• Dependable and punctual
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to follow care plans and instructions
• Comfortable communicating with families and office staff
• Able to recognize and report changes in a client's condition or needs
• Respectful of client privacy and personal boundaries
• Strong work ethic and professional judgment

• High School Diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance when transportation is required for the assignment
• Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
