Contract Analyst I

What You Will Do

Prepares, analyzes , routes and administers company legal documents pertaining to third party service contracts across the organization , including technology, operation s , consulting and other commer cial contracts .

Works closely with business stakeholders, attorneys, procurement personnel, and other internal stak e holders to ensure contracts are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Analyze, prepare, review, route, maintain, and/or process contracts, records, and related legal documents.

With direction research and understand legal documents to ensure compliance with company standards, tariffs, policies, and procedures including insurance , credit, cybersecurity and data privacy requirements .

Review findings with leadership.

Negotiate contract terms and provisions as required. Escalate non-standard issues to senior analysts or att orneys as appropriate.

Utilize contract administration software in daily work, m aintain computer database and imaging systems for agreements, and related documentation . Utiliz e independent decision making to recommend system improvements as needed. Utilizing independent decision making to recommend system improvements as needed.

Provide information, guidance, and assistance to internal customers, attorneys, procurement personnel and other stakeholders regarding contract requirements and processes .

Compile ad hoc reports and provide to management, attorneys, and other internal stakeholders as requested.

Prepare and obtain all approvals, waivers, vendor information including certificates of insurance and prequalification documents, and other legal documents.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Legal, Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:

Experience and knowledge of working with contracts involving information technology , pipeline operation s , leases, consulting and other commercial contracts.

Working knowledge of basic contract concept s .

Experience with application of basic math and algebraic formulas used in various spreadsheet applications.

Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including computers, contract management database, imaging systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.

Knowledge and training relative to:

• Legal terminology

• Contract law and/or contract preparation

• Business communications

• Records maintenance

• Data management systems

• Insurance coverages and Certificates of Insurance

• DOT and OQ requirements

• Interpersonal communications

Experience reading and understanding documents, contracts, leases, forms, manuals, publications, and correspondence.

Experience conducting internal and/or external research and preparing contracts, records, reports, and correspondence.

Experience interacting, negotiating, and communicating effectively.

Read and write fluently in English.

Minimum Applicable driver's license

Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and to other business locations.

Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.

Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
