Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, staging, loading, and unloading aluminum products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, securely, and on time while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload aluminum extrusions, bundles, and other materials onto trucks.
- Verify customer orders, quantities, labels, and shipping documentation before loading.
- Secure loads using straps, and other approved load-securing methods.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
- Assist other departments as needed to support production goals.
Skills
- Previous warehouse, shipping, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to read shipping paperwork and work orders.
- Basic math skills.
Work Environment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
