Chemical Operator
Operate equipment, support maintenance, and follow safety protocols in a dynamic production environment.
This role involves operating basic equipment, carrying out routine operational tasks, and supporting equipment installation, maintenance, and repair within a strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The position includes working rotating day and night shifts, with training on standard day shifts before moving onto swing shifts every quarter.
Responsibilities
- Operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks following detailed instructions
- Assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair tasks as directed
- Support quality functions by adhering to strict quality standards
- Follow mandatory work instructions, including use of personal protective equipment
- Work within established settings or parameters to ensure safety and efficiency
- Secondary / Intermediate education (2 GCSEs) or equivalent
- Experience working independently as a practitioner
- Effective elementary verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines under supervision
- Experience in planning, organizing, prioritizing work activities with guidance
- Basic understanding of safe systems of work and risk management
- Ability to review and create straightforward reports under supervision
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
Note: The candidate must be able to get fit tested and undergo a general physical. The work schedule includes rotating day/night shifts with potential on-site interviews, and initial training on standard daytime hours. We thank all applicants for their interest.
