Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Focus on patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, openly explaining each phase of the process with empathy and clarity
• Team up with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging devices, addressing any technical issues swiftly
• Document procedures accurately and manage patient records using the electronic medical record system
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and methodologies

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant discipline
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
