Job Summary:
The intensive care unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is located in Washington, District of Columbia. This critical care role involves providing high-level patient care on a multidisciplinary unit that manages neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. The nurse will utilize various advanced technologies to deliver comprehensive care and support patient recovery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of District of Columbia, ICU experience of 3 years, Cerner experience, graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, BSN degree (highly desired).
- Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The ICU utilizes a variety of advanced technology including ventilators, encephalostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. The role involves performing a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory standards.
