EXPERIENCED AS OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN MANDATORY

Are you passionate about eye care and helping patients achieve optimal vision? Meriden Eye Care is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to join our team in Meriden, Connecticut. As an integral part of our optometry clinic, you will work alongside experienced professionals and make a difference in our patients' lives.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-testing procedures for eye exams
• Perform visual field testing and lensometry
• Assist with contact lens fittings and dispensing
• Utilize autorefractors to measure visual acuity
• Provide excellent patient care and support

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of EHR and OfficeMate
• Knowledge of optical terminology and procedures
• Experience with NCLE certification and prescription dispensing
• Ability to assist with scribing and diagnosis
• Strong background in retail sales and medical assisting
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Tonometry skills
• Optical Coherence Tomography skills
• Refraction skills
• Autorefractor skills
