Growing together.The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President.About the Facility: Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is a 330-bed behavioral health hospital in San Antonio, Texas, providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, military personnel, veterans, and first responders. The facility offers inpatient, outpatient, and specialty behavioral health programs, including trauma-focused and dual-diagnosis treatment. With more than 40 years of service, Laurel Ridge is known for its comprehensive approach to care and its specialized programs supporting military and veteran populations. CPS Solutions-Optum has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions-Optum.Pharmacy Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.Primary Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goalsEnsure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary managementLead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teamsEnsure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal lawsOversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiativesCollaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiativesDrive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy servicesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:ACPE-accredited PharmD degree or BS of PharmacyActive State of Texas pharmacist license in good standingManagement/supervisory experiencePreferred Qualifications:Pharmacy management experienceManagement experience in a healthcare/hospital environmentPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
