Project Manager

Project Managergpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Eau Claire, WI area. Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead structural and miscellaneous steel projects from contract award through fabrication, erection, and closeout.Position Responsibilities:Manage assigned steel projects for scope, schedule, budget, and quality from award through closeoutServe as the primary point of contact for general contractors, owners, architects, and engineersCoordinate detailing, fabrication, shipping, and erection to meet project milestonesReview contract documents, specifications, and drawings to confirm scope and identify risksTrack costs, manage change orders, and prepare progress billingsPosition Essential Job Functions:Lead project kickoff and turnover meetings with estimating, detailing, and shop teamsSubmit and track RFIs, submittals, and approval drawingsMonitor material procurement and shop production against the scheduleCoordinate with field crews or erection subcontractors on sequencing and deliveriesReport project status, forecasts, and margins to leadershipPosition Skills:3+ years of project management experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or metal building constructionStrong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawingsExperience working within the AISC certification program is a plusFamiliarity with Tekla Structures, SDS2, or project management software preferredExcellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferredBenefits:Competitive salary of $110,000 - $140,000 per yearComprehensive health insuranceRetirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities
