This contract role is based in Asheboro, NC, with ideal candidates located in or willing to consider nearby cities such as Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the pharmacy department’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize pharmacy services and patient care.
• Lead, mentor, and manage pharmacy staff, enhancing professional development and team collaboration.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to promote safe and effective medication use.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory control to maintain cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the pharmacy representative on interdisciplinary committees.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials.
• Proven experience in a Director of Pharmacy or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead change and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with pharmacy automation and informatics is a plus.
