Personal Caregiver

Summary We are looking for a compassionate Personal Care Aide to provide support, companionship, or personal care work with our in-home patients in Maysville, NC and the surrounding area. This role is part of Access Personal Care Services, a division of LHC Group. Key Features 1:1 Patient Care Life-Friendly Scheduling Responsibilities The Caregiver is a person who provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to remain in their own home. Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager and notifies immediately of any incidents or accidents. Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required. Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, wheelchair, or bathroom. Assists with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care. Education and Experience Prior experience in home care preferred. Skill Requirements Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs. Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient. Independent worker capable of multitasking, self-directed with good time management. Courteous, good communication, writing, and organizational skills. Strong commitment to the organization’s goals, mission, and philosophy, and ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and families while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
