About the Role:

Nutritional Wellness Center of SJ is looking for a warm, organized, and motivated Patient Coordinator / Front Desk Wellness Assistant to be the welcoming face of our practice in Palmyra, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, creating a positive and welcoming front desk experience
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct patients to appropriate staff
• Collect and verify patient intake forms, insurance information, and medical history documentation
• Process patient payments, co-pays, and billing transactions accurately
• Coordinate communication between patients and wellness practitioners
• Maintain organized patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
• Support daily office operations including filing, supply management, and general administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a medical, chiropractic, wellness, or healthcare front desk role preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Proficiency in scheduling software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy office environment
• Knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, or co-pay collection is a plus
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or healthcare certification a plus
