About the Clinician’s Workday This urgent opening is for ABEM board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to work as 1099 independent contractors at a Level III trauma center. The facility sees about 45,000 annual visits (2.2 patients/hour) with steady growth and offers up to 120 hours per month. It provides 36 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APP support daily, along with 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist coverage, a primary stroke center, primary PCI, and a dedicated womens center with its own L&D ED. The pay rate is increased up to $450 for providers who can start immediately.
