Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification - Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification Must-Have: Epic experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of all associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
