Utility/Dishwasher Position

The utility/dishwasher position is responsible for sanitation of the room service and catering delivery systems, including food carts, return trucks, meal service items, etc. for breakfast, lunch and supper. This position washes pots and pans throughout the day; is responsible for trash removal and general cleaning to provide a sanitary environment throughout the department; keeps assigned areas clean and orderly; ensures adequate paper supplies are available on shelves from materials management; assists others as needed to provide food and service at a destination 10 level for quality. Required: Must have or obtain a Henry County food handler card. Must be able to push/pull food carts and/or dirty food trucks (50-100+ lbs.) daily. Must be able to push/pull/lift dish racks or food/supply products (10-50 lbs.) daily. Must be able to climb on a ladder or bend down to clean equipment or surrounding areas daily. Subject to the usual food service hazards: slips, spills, cuts, wet hands or water on the floor.
