Passionate about providing important support for students in special education settings? We are seeking experienced paraprofessionals for upcoming contract opportunities in the Simi Valley area. This is an excellent chance for dedicated individuals ready to make a difference in diverse school environments.
Currently building a roster of "Ready to Start" professionals for the new school year, we are looking for candidates who can step in on short notice and are prepared for a range of responsibilities. This is a waitlist opening, and while placement is not immediate or guaranteed, proactive candidates will be considered for priority assignments as needs arise.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid, current paraprofessional credential—fully credentialed and able to provide documentation
- Ready and available to begin with only 2-3 days’ notice
- Have completed two full years of experience in a school as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician (BT), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or similar
- Experienced specifically with special education caseloads for at least two years—no exceptions
- Comfortable supporting students of any age group and flexible in assignment type
- Willing to assist with toileting and diapering when required
- Demonstrates punctuality and a professional attitude—time sheets must be submitted accurately and on time
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one and group support to students in various educational settings
- Assist teaching staff in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support classroom routines, including behavioral and physical assistance
- Maintain clear and accurate daily attendance and activity logs
